Easter 2007
"The Easter Bunny did come Mommy!"
The day started off with treats from the easter bunny. The kids had fun rummaging through their baskets and treating themselves to M&M's for breakfast! Eli got alot of Buzz Lightyear stuff (flipflops and a watch), they both got fun plates to use at lunch time, and disney chapstick-or as Eli likes to call it "chopstick." Ella was quite excited about her bubbles and her bunny. Most of all she was very excited that she got to satisfy her sweet tooth so early in the morning :)

Me and my Papa

After church, we headed over to Meemaw's for lunch and an easter egg hunt. It was so nice to be with family. Speaking of family-it is getting huge!!!! We joked about how Meemaw is going to have to knock out a wall in her living room to open it up and accommodate all the people! We had a total of 14 adults (and one was not able to come-so there usually would be 15) and 8 kids! We really enjoyed just being together.

Here we are all decked out. It wasn't too cold as long as you were standing in the sun :) The kids have on the outfits I made them-notice Eli had to have a shirt on with his due to the crazy weather.

A hunting we will go....

WOW!!!!!

Say "cheese" Eli!

There was one egg left that no one could find-can you?

How about now?

"Hey Aunt Amy! Whose big idea was it to put an egg way up here?
We left Meemaw's house and drove to Grandmom & Grandad Clapp's house. The kids fussed the whole way there since it was so late in the afternoon and they were napless. But, once we got there they managed to have fun :)

Found another one!

The fun just never ends. Ella Kate enjoyed dumping them all out and then getting to put them all back in her basket!

Thankfully, Brian's grandparents live just 2 minutes from our house, so about 5:45 we packed up and headed home so that I could change clothes and quickly get out the door to work.....WHEW!!! What a day! Poor Brian had to "deal" with fussy kids for the evening. I think he got them to bed early :)

Hope everyone's Easter was as good as ours. Take time to be thankful for the real reason we celebrate Easter-HE IS RISEN and because of that we have every reason to praise him and look forward with anticipation to what He is preparing for those who trust HIM.
