WE MADE IT...GREETINGS FROM THE COUNTRY!
Well, believe it or not I am writing from the country. We drove in and got here about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. Pa was out checking the mailbox when we drove up and both the kids were about ready to burst out of their seats to get to him! They were all grins! Eli told Pa "it takes a really long time to get to ma and pa's house!" Of course the first thing Eli said he wanted to do was ride the four wheeler and feed the fish...so guess what we did? You guessed it! Neither of the kids had a nap that day so they were both very ready for bed last night. Eli slept like a log but Ella is like her mamma and doesn't sleep good the first night away from home and was up every hour from 1-6am. It could have been her teeth though. Those "eye teeth" are really giving her some trouble. She took about a three hour nap today from 12:30-3:30. Eli surprisingly has taken a nap too and is still asleep as I type.
Today was full of fun. After a good breakfast we...yeah you guessed it...rode the four wheeler! The kids had a blast! They also wrote on the driveway with sidewalk chalk and then Eli wanted to wash it away which led to about an hour and a half spree of getting completely soaked by the water hose. He had so much fun spraying everything in sight and getting wet...glad I brought extra clothes! We didn't eat lunch until about 1:45-2:00 but we were all so full from that yummy breakfast that we always love to have when we come out here. I have alot of funny pictures that include :
Pa and Eli both wearing matching John Deer hats
Eli stomping in the water fully clothed
Ella trying to drink the honey bear this morning at breakfast
Eli licking chocolate cake off his banana peel at lunch
Out here, it's like a vacation as my brother said one time. You can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the slower pace of life. We'll be heading back tomorrow afternoon sometime, so hopefully I'll email you all the pictures soon and update with more funny stories.
Oh yeah-Ella broke out in ROSEOLA the day we came out here. I guess she got what Eli had afterall....oh well.
