WALKING!

Yippee-Ella Kate at 16 months is walking! Not all the time because of course it's much easier to crawl and get what you want faster than walk and possibly have your brother beat you to it! But, nevertheless she can do it! She walked from her room to the living room and even tried to prove what she could manage by attempting to carry her "baby" at the same time. She didn't make it quite as far that time, but had fun giggling and getting back up on her feet and going at it again!
It's been so eye opening to watch and see really how different Eli and Ella Kate are. Eli was running around on his first birthday and physically has just always been ahead of the game. Ella Kate, however, is a different story. She has just taken her time...no rush...and done things only when she felt like it and only when it became convenient to her. She just still seems so much more of a baby to me than Eli did at this age. I'm enjoying it! I must admit though that the thought of her getting up off the dirty floors where all the germs hang out is very exciting to me! BYE BYE GERMS!
