MERRY CHRISTMAS:"EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED"

Well, Merry Chrsitmas to all...from within our home! We have spent the entire day here...just the four of us. Who'd have though that waking up on Christmas morning that me, Eli, my mother, my father-in-law, and two brother-in-laws would have this stomach virus that is apparently out to ruin Christmas! Truth be told, it's anything but ruined! We didn't get to get together with everyone, but that just means we got to have a relaxing day at home with eachother. And hopefully we'll get together with everyone eventually this week sometime! When Eli woke up this morning (throwing up) he said in a pitiful little voice, "Mommy, I'm just too sick for Christmas." Well, we still managed to see what Santa left and exchange presents between the four of us.

We sat back and remembered that despite being sick, we can still enjoy Christmas and the reason we celebrate. As I think back to that night Christ was born, there weren't IPODS and guns that shoot lasers, no new clothes, or baby dolls, no breakfast casserole, or other yummy foods...it was just a family...with a child who would change the world. It's been nice to sit back on this day and remember the true reason for Christmas...Christ gave us a gift-himself: a gift of sacrifice and love that would change us and make us whole! Be sure to take time out to celebrate this with your family. So, from our family to yours: MERRY CHRISTMAS! WE LOVE YOU ALL!

I hope you are all feeling better soon. Isn't staying home with just your family on Christmas Day a nice change?
