Eli was watching a Veggie Tales video and in one of the family fun sections there was a recipe for dirt and worms. I went to the grocery store and we made it tonight together. It was fun and if you ever want to give it a try...here ya go...
First, according to Ella Kate you have to get the "corrections". Make SURE you have the "corrections" so we do it right.

Crush up one package of double stuff Oreos. Set aside some for your topping. Also at this time, take one large package of chocolate pudding and prepare it according to the directions then put it in the fridge until you need it.

Melt 3/4 cup of butter and pour into the crushed up Oreos.

Mix this well and then put in the bottom of a 9X13 dish.

Mix 8 oz. cream cheese and 1 cup confectioners sugar with hand mixer then fold in one container of cool whip. Layer this on top of the oreo crust.

Next, take the chocolate pudding out of the fridge and layer it on top of the cream cheese layer.

Take a break and lick the spatulas :)

This is the fun part...sprinkle the Oreos you set aside in the beginning on top of the chocolate pudding.

And last but not least...put gummy worms in the "mud" then refrigerate for 4 hours. One hour works too when you have hungry children who are ready to eat it NOW!

And there you have it...a silly dessert for some silly kiddos!

YUM!
