Back to the "Condolow"-Year 2
We are on vacation...again :) Last year we began a tradition of coming to the beach with my immediate family. We, Mom and Dad drove in yesterday and Brandon and Rebecca drove in today with little Ava. So, we are all here and enjoying our time together. Ava is super sweet...laughing and doing all the baby babble. Ella Kate is loving her and reassuring me with her actions that she is going to be a wonderful big sister and a huge help in a few months.
Today we spent the morning on the beach. The kids loved playing in the sand and Ella Kate especially loves jumping the waves. We came in for lunch and then all took long naps. Sounds exciting huh? It took the kids a little bit to adjust to the idea of relaxing, but they have finally settled in to the slower pace (as opposed to the fast pace of our Disney vacation) and seem to be enjoying themselves. Tonight, we ate dinner here at the Condo. Mom has planned some really good meals. We plan on eating in a few nights and then hitting our fav spots a few nights this week. The next two days are supposed to be really nice: mid 80's and completely sunny so we plan on putting in alot of beach time and working on our tans. The kids are really wanting to go to the Warf. This is a place with shopping (the Croc Store is there) and a ferris wheel. The kids love the freedom of getting to pick out their own crocs (no matter what crazy color they choose-last year Eli picked out some green and yellow ones with Mickey Mouse heads for the holes). We'll get there this week and do a little shopping, ferris wheel riding and stop in for a treat at the Sugar Shack :)
Eli is still calling it the "Condolow" which we all think is super cute :) Ella Kate has picked up on it and is calling it that as well.
As for some craziness: the night before we left we had to shut our AC off because the lines were completely frozen. If you have been a long time reader of our blog, you remember about two years ago we got back from vacationing to a hot house where our AC was out. We ended up being displaced 10 days awaiting a new unit to be ordered and installed. What is it with us and AC units going out at vacation time?!?! We called in the work order to our home warranty people and were told to expect a call on Monday. To our surprise, they called us Saturday and planned on having someone out to our house on Sunday morning. A big thanks to Sharon (Grandmom) for coming out and taking care of that for us while we are here. It turns out it was a simple fix. Some kind of seal or something that had been installed incorrectly when the unit was placed two years ago. It was quickly replaced and the AC is working again-YAY!!! So, we should come home to all as it should be :)
Well, it's late and this is the second time I've typed this-lost the first draft somehow. I'm off to bed. I'm taking lots of good pictures so I'll post those when we get home.

Where are you on the beach and how long are you staying? Lacey and her fam along with mom and dad are headed to Destin Thursday afternoon/Friday morning. Josh couldn't get off work so we won't make it.
We are in Orange Beach, AL for the week. It's been so nice! Weather has been great although it's supposed to rain the last two days here :( Poor Josh-I might stow away and ride with your parents :)
