DISNEY WORLD!!!!

Day 1-The flight, Downtown Disney, and Epcot

Well, you saw the video footage down below of their inital reaction :) Things got a little more exciting once we got to the airport, and from then on...things weren't so dull :)

This was Ella Kate's first time on an airplane. Eli had been before but he was only 9 months so this was a first as far as he was concerned. They both did really well. We had a direct flight there and a connecting flight coming home.
Ella is trying out the headphones and jammin' to the music.
After landing, we picked up our rental and headed for the Condo. After that we went to Downtown Disney to pick up a few items like autograph books, pens, and such.
Argh matey, We're Pirates!
After downtown Disney, Ella Kate was wiped out! A little power nap did her some good. I will say for those of you planning a trip...if it is an option for you...stay on property in a resort! Brian and I have done this twice before. This time we stayed at a Condo and drove ourselves. There were pros and cons to each. The Condo was nice because we each had our own room. Plus, we had freedom to get around town having rented a van which we made use of at 1 am one morning as you'll read below. But...it had been a long time since we had done it this way and it was hard going from the parking lot to the trams to the monorail to the park, etc...with two small children. We didn't have any other stuff like strollers (we rented in the park) or lunch coolers, etc. That would have been impossible! It was spring break for the North from what the Disney employees told us which accounted for the extreme and unexpected crowds this week. I will say, there's a big difference in hospitality when it comes to the North and the South (no offense to those of you-family and friends-from the north :)) and it was fight and push and shove (no excuse mes...I'm sorrys...no you firsts) to get from the parking lot to the trams. I did not like that at all! If you stay on property, they have shuttle buses that pick up every few minutes and take you to each of the parks from your resort. The people on these are much more relaxed and kind natured. So...moral of the story...next time we are doing it Disney all the way!
Epcot-"Woe, that's a big ball" said Ella Kate
PLUTO!!! Made totally out of shrubbery.
"AHH!!! Mommy help us! We are being eaten by Bruce the Shark!"
The Nemo ride was our first ride experience at Disney.
We stayed late that night and watched the fireworks, then headed back for a good night's sleep so we could get up and exhaust ourselves all over again...and again...and again :)

Great pictures!! Looks like you all had a wonderful time. Malcolm won't be quite as old as Ella is now when we go this fall, but I'm hoping he'll do as well with the characters as she did. Right now he's not real crazy about anyone fuzzy and dressed up. We are planning to stay on the grounds. We did that a couple of years ago when we went and enjoyed it.
